525,600 minutes

imageOne of my favorite songs goes like this…

“525,600 minutes. 525,000 moments so dear. 525,600 minutes. How do you measure, measure a year? In day lights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee. In inches, in miles, in laughter and strife. 525,600 minutes. How do you measure a year in a life?”

A year. A year full of big moments and small ones. A year. This is how I measure a year.

The moment he slipped that ring on my finger.
Dancing with the man that was now my husband.
Sharing an ocean and a new city for the first time.
Moonlit walks on the beach.
The first time he introduced me as his wife.
Having someone to crash into when I felt like I was coming undone.
Wanting to give up, but not walking away because promises are stronger than anger.
Fighting like hell to figure it all out.
Hearing potentially devastating news, but facing it head-on, hand in hand.
Getting some satisfaction from proving people wrong.
Planning our future.
Laughing. Crying. And everything in between.
Movie nights. Date nights. DVR and pizza in bed.
Dancing in our living room.
Feeling like we were taking on the world; and taking it on together.
Making memories with our children.
Family game nights.
Learning about each other.
Sharing dreams.
Praying together.
Working on our marriage.
Looking forward to the next 525,600 minutes.

LOVE this 🙂 So so so happy you two have accomplished what you have this year. You two have had a lot thrown at you and have stuck together through it all. Love you both and hoping for this next year to bring more peace and less obstacles, and continued dances, flowers and laughs.
